Nagasaki viewpoints - Inasa-yama (Mount Inasa)

The setting of Nagasaki is beautiful with its bay surrounded by several green hills. One of these is Inasa-yama (Mount Inasa) which has a great viewpoint. The easiest way to get up there is by cable car, and since it was getting late I also chose this option. The previous day and night, and in the morning, it was snowing heavily, and although it melted in the city right away, it remained up on Inasa-yama. From the main viewpoint you can take a "slope car", but I walked instead. There is another good viewpoint at the other end of the slope car, and a third one which doesn't provide too good views. From there, I decided to walk down, following the route on Maps.me and the signs along the way. However, near the end of the descent, at a powerline tower, the path and signs disappeared. Following my GPS route, from here to the main road I just had to cut through the forest. It's a nice forest walk but the last part is a bit rough.

At one point I slipped and lost my glasses. On my previous visit in Japan, in 2020, I also lost my glasses, and I know that it's very hard to find cheap off the shelf glasses. The convenience stores sell everything except glasses, and the supermarkets don't have them either. So I ended up buying a very poor quality plastic glasses in a mall for ¥5500 (GBP 30), which wasn't even in the required  dioptre. Then, when I got back to my hotel, I found a shop called Can*Do nearby, and I found the right glasses for ¥110 (GBP 0.60)! I've spent 50 times (!) more on a same quality one at Zoff. What a ripoff! Anyway, despite all this, it was a great day and a wonderful walk!
