Taganga - A laid-back tourist village on the Caribbean coast near Santa Marta

I wasn't impressed with Santa Marta at all, but I liked Taganga, a village just outside of the city on the shore of a secluded bay. It is pleasantly undeveloped, and there are a series of beaches over the hills along the coast. It was holiday season so the main beaches were packed, but the smaller ones had fewer people. But all in all, this part of the Caribbean coast is not the most impressive - in Asia you find beaches that are 100 times better. Probably nearby Tayrona National Park is more beautiful, but I didn't have time to visit it.
