  Refugees are flooding Hungary again but this time it's different - they are welcome! This current crisis in Ukraine exposes a lot of double standards, hypocrisy, even racism. Anyway, it is good that this time refugees are being taken care of: accommodation and transport provided, free movement across the EU allowed. It is terrible what is happening at our neighbour. This murderous war - and all murderous wars - must be stopped! 

It was only a short spell, but I managed to jump 186 times in less than two years in Hungary, including some in Ukraine, in 1990 and 1991. My first 4 jumps were a few years earlier, in 1987, in Picton, Australia, but then I didn't carry on. It was a crazy time, we had heaps of fun. The most memorable and crazy time was the road trip to Ukraine where we could do anything we wanted - jumping to the lake, or from a mere 200 metres hight with an unknown military issue parachute. There are virtually no photos of this period of time, apart from a few blury ones from the first days, and one of a skydiving accident.
