Sheremetyevo, Moscow

A short stopover in Moscow's Sheremetyevo - A.S. Pushkin international airport, on my way to Asia. It would have been nice to visit the city, but getting a Russian visa is still a pain. So I just hanged out in the airport, which is huge. Interestingly, there are several capsule hotels, obviously aimed at Asian tourists. Burger King, even if written with Cyrillic letters, is the same as anywhere - so, instead, I had an excellent borscht (борщ), a traditional Russian soup made of beetroots, cabbage and other vegetables, with a bit of sour cream, garlic and dill added at the end.

Mother Russia

It was in 2004 the last time I visited Russia, where I was born, and the last time I saw my grandmother. It was also nice to see my cousin, whom I previously saw when he was still a child. Post communism, Russia has still retained much of the feel of the former times.
