Kenting National Park – Lush forests, mountains, and views of Taiwan’s southernmost coast

Kenting National Park spans a vast area, encompassing diverse landscapes and multiple points of interest. Near Kenting town, two notable natural attractions are Sheding Nature Park and the Kenting National Forest Recreation Area. Both are set within a hilly terrain, characterized by dense forests, limestone rock formations, and panoramic views of Taiwan’s southernmost coastline, including Eluanbi, the island’s southernmost tip. Starting from Sail Rock Beach and finishing in Kenting town, it is approximately a 14-kilometer walk to cover all the attractions.

First, you have to walk along an asphalt road.

Sheding Nature Park has forests trails, and features two lookouts, Verdant Pavilion and Skyward Pavilion.

To reach the Kenting National Forest Recreation Area, you have to get back on the asphalt road.

The Kenting National Forest Recreation Area is quite large with many different attractions. See photos of the map and information boards for details.
