Rediscovering Osaka - Places and attractions
After the party with the homeless on the 30th of January, I didn't do much on the 31st and spent the NYE sick and tired in my hotel. But the following days, already in 2025, I revisited most of the districts and attractions that I've seen on my first visit in 2020. Even if the places are familiar, you'll always find something new. And it's also great to find some little treasures again that you liked, such as the church halfway up in the side of a hotel, or the road that goes through a building. Most tourists just walk by these things without noticing them. The places I visited this time include Den-Den Town (Osaka's Akihabara), Shinsekai (near my hotel), Umeda, Namba and Dotombori (unpleasantly crowded), Amerika-mura (Amemura), and the Abeno Harukas building (also near my hotel). This time I didn't go up any skyscraper's observation desk, only to the free 10th and 16th floor gardens of Abeno Harukas. And I didn't visit Hundertwasser's waste incineration plant, nor Osaka Castle.
