Guangzhou-Shanghai high speed train - cruising at 350 km/h

I took high speed trains a couple of times before, but it's always exciting! First time, I went from London to Paris with the Eurostar, then, when I was in Japan, I took the Hikari (Shinkansen) from Kyoto to Shizuoka. Going from Hong Kong to Shenzhen, and from Shenzhen to Guanzhou, it was also a bullet train, but because of the short disctances I assume, they didn't reach really high speed. However, the Guangzhou-Shanghai was all that a high speed train should be. Its top speed was 350 km/h at which speed it travelled most of the time. The 1500 km trip, including 5 stops, took a mere 6 and a half hours! How different it was compared to the long overnight train ride, driven by a coal-powered locomotive, that we took on the same route (the other way around) 34 years ago.
