Hong Kong - After 34 years

I visited Hong Kong for the first time in January, 1991 - a couple of months short of 34 years ago! It was still under British rule back then, but now it's part of the People's Republic of China. I know there must have been many changes, but more or less this is how I remember it. For some reason I remember the name of the building where I stayed then, it's called Chunking Mansion. And guess what - this is exactly where I found accommodation this time too. I liked Hong Kong a lot, and my first impressions suggest that I will like it this time as well.

First evening in Hong Kong harbour.

An alley behind Chunking Mansion - the smokers' place. Smoking on the main streets seems to be prohibited now, although the rules are not really clear.
