Aerial view of the Pyramids of Egypt, Ras Mohammed & Sharm el Sheikh

Flying from Budapest to Sharm el Sheikh yesterday, it was the firts time I saw the pyramids of Egypt (at least a few of them) from the air. The first cluster is at Giza; these pyramids are the most famous, but there are more along the edge of the Nile valley towards the south. I assume they go all the way to northern Sudan, where the pyramid building had presumeably started from.

(Tip: click image to see it in slideshow, then righ-click and 'open image in new tab' to view it in full size.)

The southernmost point of the Sinai Peninsula (itself a peninsula), Ras Mohammed.

The southern end of Sharm el Sheikh.
