Riyadh viewpoints - Kingdom Centre Tower vs Al Faisaliah Tower
The most iconic building in Riyadh is the Kingdom Centre Tower (302 m), easily recognized by its bottle-opener–shaped design. After nearly two decades as the city’s tallest structure, it has now been surpassed by the CMA Tower (385 m), located in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). The third tallest is the Al Faisaliyah Tower (267 m), another striking architectural landmark. Of these, two towers — the Kingdom Centre and Al Faisaliyah — offer public observation decks, both priced similarly. Which one is better?
Kingdom Centre - Sky Bridge
The Kingdom Centre Sky Bridge, as the observation deck is called, is in the upper narrow part of the bottle-opener feature - it is indeed like a bridge above the big hole. You get two almost 180 degree views, one towards the KAFD with the CMA Tower, the other towards Al Olaya with the Al Faisaliyah Tower, and the surrounding expansive suburbs.
Al Faisaliah Tower
Officially named Globe Experience at Al Faisaliyah Tower, this observation desk is open air with a full 360 digree panorama. A tall visitor may be able to hold a camera above the glass wall surrounding the platform. The view is impressive in all directions, with perhaps the best angle looking toward the Kingdom Centre, with the CMA Tower visible behind it in the distance.
Which view is better? It's hard to say. In my opinion, you should visit both.
