Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and HITEC City

The most iconic site in Hyderabad is the four-towered Charminar, in the past functioning as a mosque. But there are other old and new attractions in this double-city, forming one entity with its sister, Secunderabad. Hyderabad is also known as a hi-tech city, taking over Bangalore. A lot of developments are under way in the outer suburbs, around the neighbourhood known as HITEC City.

Three metro lines cover a good part of the city, and a new line is under construction.
