Back in Almaty, saying goodbye to Central Asia

It's been almost three months (a week short) since I arrived in Kazakhstan as my first stop of my Central Asian trip, and now I'm back and saying goodbye to the region. In the last four days I didn't do much; I've already seen Almaty and the attractions nearby that can be visited without paying extortionist sums for a tour, so I just worked in my bed most of the time. It was getting cold too. On some nights the temperature dropped below 0, and the daytime temperature didn't always rise above 10. But now I'm headed to a warmer country, a place where I haven't been for 22 years!
