Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Named after the founding father and first president of the UAE, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the main attractions of Abu Dhabi. Completed in 2007, it promotes interfaith dialogue and fosters cultural understanding, and non-Muslims are welcome to visit it. Entrance is free, you just have to register in the underground complex that reminds of a shopping mall. I visited it twice, once in the evening (unfortunately I just missed the sunset) and in the next morning to see it in daylight too. A magnificent sight, that's for sure!
