From Bogotá El Dorado Airport to Chapinero or Zona Rosa by the P500 public bus

If you are staying in the Chapinero or Zona Rosa area of Bogotá, the simplest and cheapest way to get there from El Dorado Airport is the bus service P500 (to Centro Andino). It can take as long as an hour and a half, or as little as half an hour, depending on traffic. Taking the fast TransMilenio service to Bogotá centre and then getting another bus to Chapinero or Zona Rosa wouldn't be any faster, plus you have to know where to make the change and onto which bus. To use either service, you have to have a transport card which you can purchase inside the airport. When going to the airport, you can get on at any stop of the P500 service, but you have to flag down the bus, otherwise it won't stop.

The P500 service departs from in front of the arrival gate number 7, and they are quite frequent, every 15-20 minutes.

You can buy a transport card inside the airport at gate number 4.
