Tonle Sap - the largest lake in Southeast Asia

Located near Siem Reap, the Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. There are many floating villages on the lake and tours are organised to them, but according to the reviews I've read these tours are quite a rip-off. But you can visit the lake easily on a bicycle or scooter, ride through the rice fields and see the lotus farms and villages on the shore, and there is also a little hill, known as Phnom Krom, with an ancient temple on top and amazing views. As for the floating villages, you can see them another way, another day...
