Kampot - Another pleasant French town

Similarly to other towns in Cambodia, Kampot has a French-designed central market and colonial buildings in the surrounding streets. Kampot is a small town, but the centre is quite lively, partly due to the high number of ex-pats. The setting of Kampot is nice, as the river flows next to the centre and there are green hills and the Bokor Mountain on the other side. And as other places in Cambodia, Kampot also has a landmark monument - a durian in this case. Hopefully it won't be as drastic as Sihanoukville, but there are some new development projects here too.
