Mitzpe Ramon

Mitzpe Ramon is a town in the Negev located at the edge of a huge crater known as Makhtesh Ramon. The crater wasn't formed as a result of an impact from a meteor nor from volcanic activity, but from erosion. In fact, it is the world's largest "erosion cirque", which is 40 km long, 2–10 km wide and 500 metres deep.
