Keleti Station after the Chaos

Written on October 17, 2015

The Keleti Train Station now, empty and peaceful... if they didn't orchestrate chaos earlier this year, it would have been pretty much like this all along. People seeking a better life would have travelled on as soon as they arrived, but they weren't allowed to do so. The government wanted the whole world to see how Hungary deals with the issue - and I'm not proud at all of how they handled it, even if from their perspective it was a good strategy. On the positive side, it brought the good out of many ordinary people who did for free all what the government should have been doing from the money they spent on billboards and fences. There are indeed problems, but no need for scaremongering. Instead the world should get together and stop the root causes - there are ways, but it seems like there is no will.
